Welcome to TruePer Inc., where healing, creativity, and community come together! We’re a nonprofit organization passionate about supporting youth and the wider community through a unique blend of mental wellness, expressive arts, and social-emotional learning. While our heart is centered on youth, we believe lasting change happens when the whole community is involved. At TruePer, we create safe spaces where creativity is encouraged and healing is the goal.

Mission Statement:
TruePer Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to disrupting the school-to-prison pipeline through an arts-based approach. We provide support to youth by integrating creative expression into therapeutic and educational programs.

Vision Statement:
To create a world where all youth are empowered, supported, and free to thrive emotionally, creatively, and spiritually through access to creative healing and client centered care and community connection.

NOTE: Mental health services are provided by TruePer Inc. in collaboration with The Myrakle Space PLLC, the private practice of CEO Myrakle Betancourt. This partnership combines TruePer Inc.’s community-based programs with the clinical expertise of The Myrakle Space PLLC to deliver high-quality, licensed mental health care. Each organization operates as an independent entity while working together to ensure comprehensive, client-centered support.

  • A healing-centered space where youth explore identity, emotions, and creativity through the arts.

    • Ages 10+

    • Modalities include visual art, poetry, drama, movement, journaling, and music

    • Supports emotional regulation, self-expression, and identity development

    • A perfectly curated curriculum that combines mental health, the arts and social emotional learning for students to express themselves in safe and creative ways.

    Pricing:
    • Individual Sessions: $100/session
    • Group Sessions: $50 per person/session
    • Sliding scale and grant-sponsored access available

    Virtual or School Based

    • Group and Family Therapy

    • Mental health workshops

    • Social Skills Groups

    Insurance accepted or sliding scale

    Please note: All mental health services are provided through TruePer Inc., in partnership with the CEO’s private practice, The Myrakle Space PLLC.
    This collaboration ensures that clinical services are delivered in compliance with all applicable licensing, ethical, and privacy regulations

  • If you are in need of some extra support we offer peer support groups, mentorship and wellness circles.

    • Peer-aligned support for youth & young adults

      • Designed for life transitions, leadership, and creative goal setting

      • Includes wellness check-ins, affirmations, and community connection

    • Support groups and wellness circles open to the public

    • Topics include self esteem, parenting, grief, mental health, and resilience and more

    • Sessions include mindfulness, journaling, and shared storytelling

    Peer support groups and wellness circles are open to the community and are hosted on a monthly basis.

  • School based programs focused on keeping students engaged in school and off the streets services include:

    • Mental health support

    • Tutoring

    • Social Emotional Learning and support

    • Professional development for teachers and staff

    • Educational and enrichment support for schools, youth orgs, and community programs

      • Trauma-informed, culturally responsive curriculum

      • Social-emotional learning integration

      • Includes student sessions, staff workshops, and family engagement

      • Semester Program: Starting at $1,000
      • One-Time Workshop: Starting at $250
